Framingham selectmen have approved a tax-increment financing agreement that will enable the expansion of Jack’s Abby Brewing with a new restaurant, taproom and production space.
The company was founded in 2011 by brothers Jack, Eric and Sam Hendler and currently occupies 17,000 square feet of floor space in Framingham.
To accommodate expansion, Jack’s Abby will move into 67,000 square feet at 100 Clinton St.
As part of the tax agreement, the company agreed to add 35 full-time jobs to its current staff of 19, and spend $6 million in improvements to the facility.
Approval of the seven-year commercial property tax agreement is contingent upon approval at the annual town meeting in April.
“The company’s strategic move demonstrates great confidence in our downtown,” Community and Economic Director Art Robert said in a statement.
