Framingham Co-operative Bank Awards $3K To Townwide Creative Arts Council

Opera to go -Potter Road School The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation has awarded a grant for $3,000 to the Townwide Creative Arts Council (TCAC) in Framingham.

TCAC aims to further the learning of students attending Framingham Public Schools through the implementation of educational cultural programs, according to a statement. The grant will be used to fund "Opera to Go," a program designed to introduce students to the basic elements of opera including: arias, duets and recitative.

"It is during challenging economic times that support from Framingham Co-operative Bank becomes even more critical to continue promoting enrichment activities for our youth," said Creative Arts Chair Sandra Acevedo. "Culture, art and music are essential to nurturing young minds."
