Framingham Co-operative Bank Helps Fund Local Elder Housing Development

The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to the Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly (JCHE) organization, in support of the new Shillman House now under construction on Edmands Road in Framingham.

The non-sectarian housing complex will provide 150 affordable housing units for seniors. Residents will also have access to a variety of supportive services and social programs.

The award to JCHE was announced by Robert P. Lamprey, chairman of the Charitable Foundation.

"We are pleased to support this wonderful model of affordable, independent living in a supportive environment for seniors in our community," Lamprey said in a statement.

The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation said it awarded a total of $41,000 in support of JCHE and other community initiatives in its most recent round of funding.
