The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation has donated a portable electronic message board to the Sherborn Police Department and the town of Sherborn.

The mobile board will be a valuable addition to the department’s public safety efforts, according to a statement. It will be used as necessary to provide motorists with lighted, timely messages about traffic conditions, emergency situations and other public safety issues.

"We are grateful to the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation for making this happen," said Sherborn Police Chief Richard Thompson. "It really is a gift to the general public -it will benefit not only the people who live and work in our community, but also those who travel our roadways."
