Gilbane Building Co., based in Providence, R.I., will provide construction management for a new integrated middle and high school in North Reading.

Designed by Dore & Whittier, the $107 million facility will feature a renovated middle school and newly constructed high school connected by a shared core, which will include a gymnasium, library/media center, cafeteria/kitchen and auditorium. Additionally, the project scope includes a wastewater treatment plant, demolition of the existing high school and extensive athletic field work.

The North Reading integrated middle and high school will be built in two phases over the next three years. Construction will begin this summer and is scheduled for completion in December 2015.
