The Ginger Man is expected to move into the former Blue Wave lounge space at 343 Congress St. in Boston’s Seaport district.
The pub and eatery, which has locations in New York and Connecticut, was rumored to be scouring the Seaport for space, but sources have told Banker & Tradesman that it is the most likely candidate to open in the now-shuttered Congress Street restaurant space.
"There is more demand from restaurant operators [hoping to open in the Seaport] than there are suitable spaces," one source said.
Last week, Banker & Tradesman reported that the renovation of a warehouse building at 320 Summer St. will also include about 6,500 square feet of retail. And while no lease had been penned, there has been strong interest in that retail space from restaurant operators.
