Newton real estate investment trust Government Properties Income Trust (GOV) has priced a public offering of 6.5 million common shares at a price to the public of $25.40 per share.
The settlement of the offering is expected to occur Monday, July 25. In a statement GOV said it expects to use the proceeds of the offering to reduce amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility and for general business purposes, including funding acquisitions. The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 975,000 common shares to cover over-allotments, if any.
The joint bookrunning managers for this offering are Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and RBC Capital Markets. The co-lead managers for this offering are Citi, Jefferies & Co. Inc., Morgan Keegan and UBS Investment Bank. The co-managers for this offering are BB&T Capital Markets, Janney Montgomery Scott, JMP Securities and Oppenheimer & Co.
