Corey A. Griffin has been named president of Boston commercial real estate firm The Davis Cos.
Griffin joins The Davis Cos. from 17 years with Bank of New York Mellon, during which he spent 15 years with The Boston Company Asset Management, LLC (TBCAM), a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon, serving seven years as its chief executive officer.
In addition to overseeing the senior management team responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Davis Cos., Griffin will work closely with CEO and Founder Jonathan Davis on the expansion of the company’s asset management and development platforms. The object is to broaden the company’s offerings and strengthen its capacity to manage investments for both high net worth and institutional investors, as well as other strategic growth initiatives, according to a statement.
"Corey’s leadership skills, strategic thinking and deep experience will help position The Davis Cos. for its next phase of growth. Having him join our team is a key element in our continuing commitment to better serve our investors, tenants and partners," said Davis. "We believe our firm has one of the best teams in the real estate business, a group of talented individuals who are focused on bringing our clients the diversity of expertise required to provide great investment performance and unparalleled customer service. Corey is obviously a powerful addition."
"I have known and respected Jon for over 25 years. Joining The Davis Cos. is a great opportunity to work with him and his highly capable team to further develop its business. It is a perfect blend of my experience and The Davis Cos.’ desire to build on its significant past success and expand its institutional asset management platform to bring The Davis Cos.’ deep capabilities to an even broader array of clients," said Griffin.
