John Boardman has been hired as a project manager in the Marlborough office of surveying and engineering firm Hancock Associates.

Boardman is a registered professional civil engineer and soil evaluator with more than 16 years experience in the Metrowest and Central Massachusetts regions, and was most recently self-employed, according to a statement.

Hancock also announced Katie Bomengen Enright is transferring to the firm’s Chelmsford office, which was acquired in 2007 when Hancock merged with Polaris Engineering Corporation.

Enright is also a registered professional civil engineer, and will oversee civil engineering projects in her role as a project manager.
