HarborOne Bank launched its charitable foundation this week, announcing four donations to nonprofits totaling $100,000.

The bank timed the launch to coincide with its 100th anniversary.

“We are proud to celebrate 100 years of expanding opportunities, enriching lives and strengthening communities,” James Blake, president of HarborOne Bank, said in a statement. “As part of our dedication to the local community where we live and work, we are excited to launch the HarborOne Foundation with donations to local organizations whose efforts our consistent with our core values.”

HarborOne created the foundation with a portion of the proceeds from its recent public offering. The foundation’s focus is on educational opportunities, access to safe and affordable housing, and basic human services. The four local organizations each receiving $25,000 inaugural grants are Father Bill’s and MainSpring, NeighborWorks Southern MA, Old Colony YMCA and Boys & Girls Club of Brockton.
