The Plymouth branch of HarborOne Credit Union said it will renew its commitment to support South Shore Community Action Council’s (SSCAC) Food Pantry.
"Many of our friends and neighbors are paying a painful price for this continuing recession, and we want to do whatever we can to help them," said Edward Alfieri, assistant vice president and branch officer of HarborOne Credit Union’s Plymouth branch.
During the month of September the branch, located at 43 Commerce Way across from Colony Place, will accept non-perishable food items and monetary donations.
The credit union will waive the normal fee for people wishing to use the branch’s coin counting machine to donate their change to the Food Pantry. All donors will receive a free HarborOne environmentally-fair canvas shopping bag, according to a statement.
Brockton-based HarborOne also said it will match all monetary donations up to $1,000.
