Angela Harkins, broker-owner of Angela Harkins & Assoc. Real Estate in Westford, has been named Realtor of the Year by the Northeast Association of Realtors (NEAR).
The award is the highest honor NEAR gives one of its members, according to a statement. It recognizes service to the Realtor organization at the local, state and national levels, as well as community activities and business accomplishments.
Harkins, of Nashua, was NEAR president in 2010 and also served as chairperson of its board of directors and executive committee. This year, she serves as chairperson of the NEAR Education Committee, a director of the association and a member of the Executive Political Involvement and Nominating committees.
Harkins also serves as the northern region vice president for the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR), and she also serves on the MAR board of directors and executive committee, according to a statement.
