Haverhill Bank last week opened its first New Hampshire branch at 396 Main St. in Salem.
The branch joins CVS and three other retail stores in a 22,000-square-foot retail plaza along Route 97 at the Methuen and Salem, N.H. border.
"This area of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, with its immediate vicinity to Haverhill, is a natural location to extend our brand," Haverhill Bank President and CEO Thomas Mortimer said in a statement. "We believe the bank’s community approach to banking will fit in nicely in this border neighborhood."
The branch includes two drive-up lanes as well as a 24-hour drive-up ATM. Patricia St. Cyr manages the branch. A grand opening is planned in 2014.
