Haverhill Bank employees spent November and early December collecting items for four local charitable groups.

Somebody Cares New England (SCNE), Emmaus Inc., Adopt-A-Family and Community Meals all received donations from the bank this month.

"The bank has always felt that it is part of our civic responsibility to help those in our community who need it the most," Thomas Mortimer, bank president and CEO, said in a statement. "This year, knowing that the need continues to grow, we decided to challenge our employees to make this the best year of giving yet. Our employees’ generosity allowed us to contribute to four very worthy organizations."
