Residence at Little River, a 174-unit garden apartment community in Haverhill, has been purchased by Acumen Real Estate for $26.55 million.

The apartment community, located at 10 Primrose Way, was sold by Equity Residential, according to a statement. Jones Lang LaSalle negotiated the sale on behalf of Equity Residential.

Residence of Little River sits on 32 acres and is a seven-building complex with one- and two-bedroom units and a 321-vehicle parking lot. Amenities include a business center, fitness center and swimming pool.

"Acumen Real Estate is very excited about this acquisition," said Carlos Berner, president. "It perfectly fits our acquisition criteria due to its size, vintage, physical attributes and location."

The property, with 210,181-square feet of living space, was previously sold for $4.5 million in October 2001 and was last assessed for $15.5 million, according to The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
