Lisa Haynes has been named corporate director of human resources of Chelmsford-based Wedge Hotels Corp.

Haynes will play a key role in developing talent and building human resource infrastructure as the company begins executing its growth strategy, according to a statement.

"As we build our current portfolio through acquisition and operation of new hotel locations, Haynes will lead all aspects of the human resources function, both corporately and in the hotel properties," said Brian Stage, president and CEO of Wedge Hotels Corp. "This will include such areas as recruitment, retention and development of staff plus legal compliance, labor relations, employee benefits and development of our overall corporate culture."

Haynes has extensive industry experience including human resource management roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and Dolce Hotels and Resorts. Her property-level experience included leading the human resource function at several Dolce hotels in Connecticut, the Sheraton Hotel in Newton and the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston.

Wedge Hotels Corporation currently operates four properties: Sheraton Suites in Houston, Wyndham Boston Chelsea Hotel; Marriott Courtyard in Shelton, Conn., and the Radisson Hotel and Suites in Chelmsford. The company is part of Wedge Real Estate Holdings, a privately-held real estate investment firm headquartered in Houston.
