Peter K. Hazel has joined Gardner-based Fidelity Bank’s commercial team as a senior vice president/business banking officer.

Hazel has more than 28 years of commercial lending and business development experience. He will work out of Fidelity’s Gardner branch and serve Gardner and the surrounding markets. He previously worked at GFA Federal Credit Union in Gardner as vice president of business development and senior commercial lender. While at GFA, he was awarded U.S. Small Business Administration Preferred Lender status.

Prior to being employed by GFA, Hazel worked at several other financial institutions, including Monadnock Community Bank, TD Banknorth, Savings Bank of Walpole, Granite Bank, Commerce Bank & Trust Company, Merchants National Bank, and First Safety Fund National Bank.

Hazel received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fitchburg State College. He has also completed several MBA courses at Assumption College in Worcester.
