L to R: Laura Wernick (HMFH), Gloria Franqui (CCRC) and George Metzger (HMFH)Cambridge’s HMFH Architects has celebrated its 40th anniversary by donating $16,000 to the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC), a nonprofit organization in Cambridge.

CCRC, the first child care resource and referral agency, is a regional provider of child care vouchers and a resource and referral services for families, according to a statement.

"HMFH focuses its practice on educational facilities and is deeply committed to promoting the importance of high quality education for all children," said HMFH Principal Laura Wernick, president of the board of directors for CCRC. "HMFH is particularly interested in supporting CCRC this year as CCRC approaches its 40th anniversary of helping young children thrive. A group of CCRC’s supporters have initiated a Forty by Forty campaign in which they will match dollar for dollar donation given by the end of the year up to $40,000 in order to ensure this important organization has the resources to enhance its programming now and be on a sure footing for the next 40 years."

"We are so grateful to HMFH Architects for their long-standing support of CCRC," said Gloria Franqui, executive director of CCRC. "During these tough economic times service agencies like ours are doing more with less and this donation will allow us to continue to offer and expand services to families and children."
