Cambridge-based HMFH Architects has once again participated in the Cambridge Challenge, which aims to connect the businesses and youth of Cambridge.
The citywide initiative was developed by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce’s Community Outreach Committee.
HMFH’s Associate Gabe Petino spent a day with Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) student Paul Gordon, taking him through the HMFH office and touring the construction site at his school, according to a statement. The $85 million multi-phase renovation project at CRLS, currently in its second phase of construction, will revitalize 400,000 square feet of the high school’s academic space and is expected to be completed for the fall 2011 school year.
"It gives us a great sense of pride and inspiration to see local youths take an interest in architecture," said Petino, manager of the construction administration department at HMFH Architects. "Through our involvement with the Cambridge Challenge, we hope to foster a life-long appreciation for design and how architecture can help strengthen communities."
HMFH has been involved in the Cambridge Challenge for the last six years.
