Hood Industries Inc., a national lumber-related company, has leased 74,240 square feet at 91 Fitchburg Road in Ayer for 10 years.

Hood Industries is a distributor of hardwood and employs more than 1,100 people. The subject, rail-served, 24 foot by 32 foot clear, hi-bay facility is ideal for warehouse and distribution. Situated on more than 9 acres of industrial zoned land, the property offers substantial expansion, eight loading docks and one over-sized, drive-in door, according to a statement.

David, James, and Micah Stubblebine, principals of The Stubblebine Co., and Alan Ringuette represented Hood Industries and the landlord, GFI Partners, a Boston-based development firm, in the transaction.

"We conducted an exhaustive search over a five year period. 91 Fitchburg Road in Ayer will undoubtedly serve as an outstanding New England headquarters for Hood Industries as the building has several features that are extremely important to Hood Industries’ operations including a double rail spur and 24 foot – 32 foot clear height," said David Stubblebine.
