Horizon Beverage Co. plans to break ground tomorrow to expand its new facility, which will add 100,000 square feet of warehouse space and an additional 55,000 square feet of office space to its existing 400,000 square feet.

Horizon expects to fully occupy the new facility by Labor Day 2012.

Michael Epstein, vice president/general counsel of Horizon Beverage Co.; U.S. Sen. Scott Brown; Anne Struthers, executive director, Massachusetts Office of Business Development; State Rep. Jay Barrows, First Bristol District; and Michael Yunits, Norton town manager will be on hand tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. for the groundbreaking at 45 Commerce Way.

For 78 years, Horizon Beverage Co. has been a family-owned and operated wine, spirits and beer distributor, currently located in Avon. The company has grown to employ hundreds of Massachusetts residents and has become the top distributor of spirits, wine and beer in New England, according to a statement.
