Elkus Manfredi Architects recently completed an expansion of fitness wearables company WHOOP’s headquarters in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood to accommodate for the startup’s rapid growth.
Building on the original workplace finished in 2018, the design provides additional space for development and testing of WHOOP’s fitness tracker as well as amenity spaces for clients and employees.
The expansion, which nearly doubled the company’s space to 17,748 square feet, includes 70 new workstations, four new private offices, seven meeting rooms and seven additional phone rooms.
Additional specialty spaces include a room for new mothers, a gender-neutral bathroom and a podcast room.
They Said It:
“Elkus Manfredi is thrilled to continue our partnership with WHOOP as they transform the field of wearable health and wellness technology. Since our original design provided the right kind of environment for rapid innovation and growth, this expansion carries the design concepts forward to empower the company’s continued success.”
