HSBC Exec Joins Legacy Banks To Oversee Commercial, Industrial Lending

Peter Clemente has joined Legacy Banks as a senior vice president of commercial banking.

In his new role, Clemente will lead Legacy’s commercial and industrial lending division in both Massachusetts and New York.

Clemente comes to Legacy from HSBC where he worked for the past 11 years, most recently as a senior vice president and business banking market executive. Prior to that, he worked for Citibank and Chemical Bank in business and retail banking capacities.

"I am so pleased to welcome Peter to Legacy Banks. His vast experience in commercial and retail banking will serve us well as we work to enhance customer relationships and build our commercial lending portfolio within targeted industries throughout our footprint," said President and CEO Patrick J. Sullivan.

Clemente lives in Clifton Park, N.Y. with his family.
