Occupancy, daily room rates and revenue per available room all increased year-over-year at Boston-area hotels in February, according to a recent report from Boston’s PKF Consulting USA.
Hotel operators in Greater Boston achieved an average 54.7 percent occupancy at a $134.71 average daily rate (ADR) with a resulting $73.74 in revenue per available room (RevPAR). The performance levels represented a 0.7 percent occupancy gain, 3.4 percent boost in ADR and an overall 4.1 percent rise in RevPAR for February compared to the same time last year, according to a statement.
Greater Boston hotel operators benefited from increased RevPAR, mostly contributed by a boost in ADR for year-to-date 2011, according to the report. The average RevPAR growth was 2.4 percent year-to-date, increasing to $71.12 in 2011 from $69.42 in 2010.
There was an average ADR of $133.92 year-to-date, a 2.4 percent increase from $130.83 in 2010. Average occupancy levels remained almost flat at 53.1 percent for Greater Boston, with a 0.1 percent increase from the same period last year.
