The IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg has chosen Anthony Emerson as the new CEO to replace retiring executive Tony Cali.
Emerson has been the president and CEO of the Credit Union League of Connecticut since March of 2008.
"The board is extremely excited for the arrival of Tony Emerson. After an extensive national search process and many strong potential candidates, the board feels [Emerson] has the skills and leadership capabilities to take IC Federal Credit Union to the next level of growth," Ken Stone, chairman of the credit union’s board of directors, said in a statement.
Prior to Connecticut, Emerson served as vice president of finance/accounting/operations for Maine Savings FCU in Hampden, Maine. He began his credit union career in 2001 at Penobscot County FCU after serving in an executive capacity with a world-wide manufacturing firm, and serving several years as a contracting officer in the U.S. Air Force.
