Swedish furniture retailer IKEA has completed a 58,575-square-foot expansion of its Stoughton superstore.
Work began in September on the project, which expands the retail store off Route 24 to 415,575 square feet to accommodate more inventory and home delivery volume.
The project included expansion of the self-service furniture area, a reconfiguration of customer service functions to the newly built space and a larger home delivery area. The rooftop solar array is being enlarged by 51,516 square feet to accommodate an additional 1,248 panels producing 383,200 kWh of electricity annually.
