ICU President Roy Campana and  Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray,Industrial Credit Union recently announced the 10 winners of its 16th annual college scholarship program.

Children and grandchildren of credit union members in the undergraduate study or the first two years of graduate study, are eligible to apply.

Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray hosted the drawing of the winners at his State House office.

The program was named in honor of John J. Campana who served as ICU treasurer for more than 50 years.                                                  

The 10 winners were each awarded $1,000 scholarships that can be used to pay for college tuition, books and/or fees. Students may not earn more than $1,000 in winning funds, but may apply more than once, according to the credit union. Applications for the upcoming year 2010 scholarship program will be released this summer.

"ICU is proud to again offer these scholarships. When we have an opportunity to give something back to the community we serve, we’re all better off," said ICU President Roy Campana. "We are proud to have Lt. Gov. Murray participate in providing additional educational assistance to our Massachusetts students"
