One Liberty Square, Boston

In the first mega-sale of a Boston office tower in 2007, One Liberty Square in the Financial District has been sold to Invesco Real Estate, a Dallas-based REIT, for $50.3 million.

Built in 1924, the 13-story Classic Revival mid-rise office tower was featured in the movie “Housesitter” with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn. It is accented by a bull-nose shape, distinctive limestone and granite facade.

Jones Lang LaSalle, a global real estate firm, listed the property last summer. It previously sold in 2001 for $48.4 million.

Michael G. Smith, Catherine F. Daume and Scott Jamieson from Jones represented the seller and procured the buyer.
