Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s fundraiser "We Share A Common Thread" raised more than $20,000 to help fund critical patient care and life-saving research at Children’s Hospital Boston and support the needs of local patients battling cancer at Lowell General Hospital.

The fundraiser will benefit Lowell General Hospital’s Teamwalk for Cancer Care, the American Heart Association and Credit Unions of Massachusetts’ Kids at Heart Program for Children’s Hospital Boston, according to a statement.

"Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union considers social responsibility to be an integral part of our overall mission," said Mark S. Cochran, president and chief executive officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. "Our sense of duty and concern for the community, including those who reside therein, sparked our efforts and commitment to get involved with many area charities, including the three that benefited from Saturday night’s fundraiser."
