Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Jason Fivek to head one of its key suburban brokerage teams.

Fivek was previously in charge of Boston Properties’ central suburban Boston portfolio. Fivek joined Boston Properties in 2001 and has completed more than 300 lease transactions totaling more than 3 million square feet, including Biogen Idec and Constant Contact.

At Jones Lang LaSalle, Fivek will head the Mass. Pike/Route 128 brokerage team representing tenants and investors for office and research and development space in Waltham and surrounding communities. The team includes managing director Alex Dauria and vice presidents Tyler Spring and Brendan Cohn.
