The Housing Partnership Network has received $450,000 from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation in support of groundbreaking homeownership education and counseling services.
Part of the one-year award will fund the expansion of Framework, an online homebuyer education tool targeting first-time borrowers prior to purchase. The remainder will be used to expand its resolution specialist platform, a new model for pairing borrowers facing foreclosure with nonprofit housing counselors who work with mortgage servicers to keep families in their homes.
"Addressing the longstanding challenge of affordable housing requires new thinking and a willingness to explore new approaches while scaling up proven strategies," Thomas Bledsoe, president and CEO of HPN, said in a statement. "Thanks to the generous support of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, we will expand our efforts to drive innovation in housing counseling, and develop new forward-thinking tools to deliver high-quality services effectively and at scale."
