Brookline-based Kaplan Construction has been selected to build two new additions for Miltons The Store for Men in Chestnut Hill.

Renovations to the flagship store include a new two-story, steel frame and glass façade entrance, added display windows and new tile and EIFS finishes. A second, two-story addition will be built to house new fitting rooms, a lounge area and stock and display space.

Kaplan provided building services to the same Miltons location in 1999, installing the store’s elevator, an ornamental glass stair and completing interior renovations.

Somerville-based Arrowstreet Inc. is providing architectural design for the project. Kaplan is responsible for the design and build engineering of the mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems.

Kaplan will work on an accelerated, phased-work schedule this summer and fall to complete the renovations by Thanksgiving. Miltons will remain open during the construction.
