Jessica Kausel, of Wenham, has joined J Barrett & Co.’s Beverly office.

Kausel, whose family has been in real estate in the North Shore for three generations, also has a background in the financial aspects of the industry, according to a statement. She spent a number of years in the mortgage department of a major banking operation.

"Of all the parts of real estate that I enjoy, the customer service element is my favorite," Kausel said. "Helping people navigate their way through the process of selling and buying homes is very satisfying."
