Kevin Keener has joined Waltham-based Credit Union On-Line Inc. (CUOL) as chief information officer.

Keener comes to CUOL with experience in state and federal regulatory compliance requirements and issues, public accounting, writing proposals, business development and establishing budgets.

He will work directly with CUOL’s President and CEO Connie Boretti and is charged with formulating and administering company policies and developing business plans, budgets and long-range financial goals and objectives.

He will also play an integral role as CUOL’s liaison to all auditing firms, examiners and the audit committee.

"Kevin’s vast knowledge and experience in federal regulation will help CUOL in assisting our growing number of customers manage their compliance mandates," said Boretti. "His excellent abilities in customer relations will be an asset to our company and we are excited to have him on board."

Prior to CUOL, Kevin held positions in information technology auditing, federal bank auditing and risk services. Most recently, he represented corporate audit on the information technology and operations committee at First Marblehead Corp.
