Wentworth Institute of Technology has elected Lawrence LaFreniere, president and CEO of Burlington-based Electric Supply Center (ESC), to the corporation of the institute.
As a corporator, LaFreniere will serve as part of a key advisory board for guiding, advising, and advancing the institute, according to a statement.
LaFreniere purchased ESC in 1997 and grew the company through his expertise in distribution projects, operations, translating conceptual models into specific growth strategies, improving market share and revenue growth, according to the statement.
LaFreniere has more than 20 years of experience in the electrical distribution and engineering industry.
"We are delighted that Larry has joined Wentworth’s Corporation," said Zorica Pantić, Wentworth’s president, in a statement. "The institute will benefit greatly from his commitment, expertise, and extensive professional experience. We appreciate ESC’s dedication to providing educational and professional opportunities for current students and alumni."
