Justice Keith C. Long has sold one of his Cambridge homes for $1.7 million.

Long and his wife Helen L. Long sold the Wendell Street home Sept. 30 to Rebecca M. Henderson, according to information obtained from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

Long also owns another home in Cambridge, according to data provided by The Warren Group.

Long, a state Land Court judge, presided over the controversial U.S. Bank v. Ibanez case and ruled that two foreclosures were invalid because banks did not have proof that they held ownership of the foreclosed mortgages through valid assignments.

The ruling has had wide-ranging implications for foreclosures nationwide.

Long was appointed to the court by former Gov. Mitt Romney in 2004. He earned his law degree from Harvard in 1975.
