Pittsfield’s Legacy Banks has established a new commercial banking team in New York, which will focus on expanding Legacy’s commercial and industrial lending business.

The team will be led by Senior Vice President Peter Clemente, who joined Legacy last month. Two new appointments include Wesley John, who recently joined the bank as a vice president, and Michael Quaranta Jr., who was named assistant vice president.

"I have worked closely with both Wesley and Michael who have significant expertise as business relationship managers. They look forward to bringing that experience to Legacy," said Clemente.

John, of Albany, N.Y., previously served as a vice president, small business relationship manager at HSBC. Prior to that, he worked at Fleet Bank and Spectron Inc. (Eyeworld).

Quaranta, also of Albany, N.Y., has worked for the past four years as an assistant vice president, small business relationship manager with HSBC.
