Legoland Discovery Center at Assembly Row in Somerville is asking Massachusetts residents to decide which of Boston’s landmarks should be immortalized in Lego bricks.
Beginning today and running until Nov. 22, fans can vote via the Legoland Discovery Center Boston Facebook page to choose whether Fenway Park, Faneuil Hall or another favorite site should be given the LEGO treatment.
The top 10 landmarks will be announced on Dec. 2. Fans will then be able to vote for the top landmark. The winning landmark will be announced Dec. 16, and unveiled in the spring prior to the grand opening of Legoland Discovery Center in May 2014.
The landmark will be displayed in Miniland, an area of every Legoland Discovery Center that features Lego-brick landscapes and buildings that are significant to the center’s host city .
"We want Miniland to represent the places we love the most about this area, and what better way than to have the people who live, work and play here help us decide which landmarks should be included," Kelly Smith, marketing manager for Legoland Discovery Center Boston, said in a statement.
