Fidelity Bank in Leominster posted a 19 percent increase in net income last year, announcing a record $3.7 million at its recent annual meeting.

The $565 million community bank also elected new corporators and a new director and highlighted some of its community involvement last year.

For instance, the bank created the LifeDesign Community Dividend, a program that distributed more than $250,000 in support of nearly 50 local community organizations, events and causes in 2013. The SHINE Initiative, a bank-sponsored nonprofit, was able to leverage bank financial support and raised a record $148,000 to promote mental health and fight mental illness in children and teens locally.

Fidelity Bank also received BauerFinancial’s top rating as a five-star superior bank for financial strength.

Christopher McCarthy was elected a director. He is vice president and general manager of Customer Engineering Services and serves as an advisor to the bank’s risk, audit and compliance committees.

Catherine Dillon, Robert Johnson, Deborah LaPointe, Enrico Palmerino and Leslie Storrs were elected corporators. They represent the interests of the bank’s depositors.

Debra Pochini and Paul Przybyla were reelected corporators. Przybyla was also elected clerk. Ronald LeBlanc and Edward F. Manzi Jr. were reelected directors.

The bank also opened a new branch office in Millbury through a partnership with the Millbury VFW.
