The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded its Energy Star label to two Liberty Mutual buildings – its Boston headquarters and Weston operations.
The Boston-based insurer has also constructed multiple LEED-certified buildings and has developed a flexible green property insurance endorsement.
To earn the Energy Star labels, Liberty Mutual implemented a "wide-range of energy efficiency strategies including adding water-efficiency devices, automatic lighting systems, occupancy sensors and an energy management system to regulate building temperature," the company said.
