Pittsfield’s Legacy Banks has named Michael B. Galligan as assistant vice president of loan operations.

Galligan, of Ballston Spa, N.Y. will be based at the bank’s Pittsfield headquarters. In his new role, Galligan will oversee the loan process including processing, funding and servicing.

He has more than 10 years of experience in mortgage banking, most recently coming from M&T Bank in Clifton Park, N.Y. where he served as mortgage underwriter.

Galligan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y.
