Rockland Trust will help finance the acquisition of the Old Boston City Hall building at 45 School St.
The bank recently announced they will loan OCH Holdings, a subsidiary of Synergy Investments, $20 million to help the company acquire the building, which was constructed between 1862 and 1865.
OCH Holdings paid $30.1 million to Old City Hall Landmark Corp. for its leasehold interest in the building, which it has held from the city of Boston since 1970.
The building, which was completely renovated in 1972, is 9 stories with 83,700 square feet and is situated along the world-famous Freedom Trail.
The property is 95.8 percent occupied and includes tenants Welch & Forbes LLC, Regan Assoc., Swartz & Lynch, Houser & Allison and Kaymbu.
It has one unit on the ground floor which is occupied by Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
