Marlborough collection agency American Profit Recovery will participate in April’s Collectors Challenge Month for the third year in order to raise awareness and funds for financial literacy.

American Profit Recovery employees will support the effort in a number of ways, including paying for dress-down days in the office, a NCAA bracket challenge, weekly raffles and team building activities, according to a statement. American Profit Recovery is also donating $1 for every new "Like" on their Facebook page this month.

"We try very hard to educate the consumer on what they need to do to build and maintain good credit and we hope other collection agencies find the value in doing the same," said Jeff DiMatteo, a partner at American Profit Recovery. "Through our own resources such as educational blogs and videos and our efforts to support programs like the Collectors Challenge, we feel we are doing our part to help those with credit issues."
