S+H Construction  Inc., of Cambridge, received two Gold 2012 Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards – Eastern Massachusetts region – in the "Residential Specialty, Exterior" and "Entire House, Condo" categories.  And Norton-based Miller Construction Co. Inc. received the Silver Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the Eastern Massachusetts chapter.

The CotY is an annual competition sponsored by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and recognizes exceptional achievement in remodeling and construction.

S+H constructed a hardscape for the exterior project award that was inspired by the property’s surrounding woodlands. The complete renovation of the fourth and fifth floors of an 1876 brick home in Boston’s Back Bay earned S+H the award for "Entire House, Condo." 

Miller Construction’s award was presented for the 2012 renovation of a 12-by-14-square-foot kitchen in a colonial home in Mansfield. The honor was in the category of "Kitchen Remodel Under $50,000."
