Several Massachusetts-based residential brokerages landed spots on a list of the nation’s largest real estate firms compiled by RealTrends.

By volume, Boston’s Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty led the pack of Massachusetts brokerages with over 500 transaction sides with $3.45 billion in 2022 sales volume across 2,743 transaction sides. It was followed by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate with $2.77 billion in 2022 volume across 3,476 sides and Lamacchia Realty with $1.74 billion in volume and 3,649 sides.

By transaction sides, Waltham-based Lamacchia beat out Natick-based BHHS Commonwealth for first place, with Chelmsford’s LAER Realty Partners placing third with 3,323 sides and $1.59 billion in sales volume

Peabody-based Century 21 North East, Boston-based Keller Williams Boston|Metro, Concord-based Keller Williams Boston Northwest, Hanover-based Jack Conway, Winchester-based Leading Edge Real Estate, South Easton’s Keller Williams Easton Market Center, Keller Williams Beverly, Boston-based Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, Franklin-based RE/MAX Executive Realty and Keller Williams Showcase Properties in Breaintree also made RealTrends list of the 500 biggest brokerages nationwide.

Nationwide by volume, GSIR ranked 82nd, BHHS Commonwealth ranked 114th and Lamacchia Realty came in at 211th.

By transaction sides, Lamacchia came in at 213th, BHHS Commonwealth ranked 233rd and LAER rang in at 245th.
