Nancy Mahoney has joined The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank as director of risk management, a new position reporting to chief risk officer Thomas P. Boyle Jr.

Mahoney will be responsible for managing and coordinating fraud prevention processes, corporate incident response and the bank’s security and financial investigative department. With more than 30 years in banking, she brings a broad range of operations, systems and risk management experience to Cape Cod Five.

Most recently, Mahoney managed deposit servicing, as well as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance program for a bank in Boston. She also managed system conversions, and had responsibility for loss prevention. Prior to that, she had served in management positions for three other area banks.
