Malden, Everett Apartment Properties Sold For $1.8M

Two apartment buildings in Malden and Everett have sold for a total of $1.85 million.

Steve and Ronda Obelsky sold 23-27 Cedar St., a seven-unit apartment property in Malden. The buyer was 27 Cedar Street LLC. Eleven Aberdeen Properties LLC bought 78 Florence St., a six-unit apartment building in Everett. The seller was Florence Street Realty Trust.

Evan D. Griffith, senior investment specialist at Marcus & Millichap’s Boston office, had the exclusive listing to market the properties on behalf of the sellers and procured the buyers.

"Malden Center will continue to see high investor interest as long as occupancy remains high and rents keep showing strong year-over-year bumps," Griffith said in a statement. "With all signs pointing towards the future of Everett to include gaming, investors are swarming to various submarkets to cash in on the anticipated revitalization."
