NeuroMetrix, a Waltham-based manufacturer of wearable pain-management devices, has opened a new 6,000-square-foot production facility at Cummings Properties’ 4-B Gill St. in Woburn.
The opening coincides with the company’s launch of its newest device, Quell. NeuroMetrix develops devices that treat chronic pain and disorders related to diabetes complications.
Cummings Properties’ Leasing Director Derek Cook represented the landlord on the transaction. NeuroMetrix Chief Financial Officer Tom Higgins and Keith Coulter of McPherson Corp. represented the tenant.
The space, previously used as a warehouse, was converted into clean manufacturing, office and warehouse space in just over a month. The site is equipped with five assembly lines designed to manufacture three product lines.
"We chose the Gill Street location based on Cummings Properties’ reputation as a landlord, the depth of the maintenance staff, and the attractiveness of the building from the outside," Higgins said in a statement. "Another key factor was the opportunity to design the interior to suit our needs."
NeuroMetrix, which trades on the Nasdaq under the NURO symbol, reported third-quarter revenues of $1.43 million, up 8.6 percent from the same period in 2013.
