The number of single-family homes put under agreement in July was up 33.6 percent over the same month a year ago, says the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
The association said 4,694 homes were put under agreement in July, which was the 15th consecutive month of year-over-year increases. However, July was the first month in the last three during which pending sales dipped below 5,000, the association said.
MAR said 1,752 condos were put under agreement during the month compared to 1,349 in July 2011. On a month-to-month basis, the number of condos put under agreement was down 11.8 percent from 1,986 in June.
