Julie Livingston, president and CEO of Marblehead Bank, was honored as one of the inaugural Distinguished Leadership honorees from the New England Women in Banking Conference.

Livingston has been with Marblehead Bank for 33 years, becoming its first female president in 2006. In addition to her involvement in many community and professional groups, she has also been a strong mentor to women in leadership positions in her institution as well as her work on the Advisory Board of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier National Graduate School of Banking.

Livingston and Eileen Kraus, former president of Conn. National Bank and vice chair of Shawmut Corp., were honored during the New England Women in Banking Conference held on Nov. 9 in Newport, RI. This conference takes the time to give special recognition to women who have made significant advances in banking, and who have been trailblazers for women in banking.
